Jimmy Vaughn has released his new CD entitled, "Tears of a Friend ". The title cut of the album is an original song written by Vaughn and is receiving airplay on Renfro Valley's radio station.                                                Stations in Indiana are including the song on their play list are WNTS, WKLY and WKWH. Vaughn wrote " Tears of a Friend " in 1977  and is pleased with the final production.

He is a native of Somerset, KY, but presently resides in Indianapolis IND. with his wife Yen.                                                                                                                                                        Vaughn's musical background is extensive. Formerly he was a member of Gold Dust, a band who entertained locally. Later, he became well known as the manager for The New Canyon Band, which was very popular in the area. " I have loved music all of my life, and to me,  there is no better feeling than when I'm singing and playing the guitar," says Vaughn.
The " Tears Of A Friend " CD also includes a variety of tunes from other performers. Local musician Gerald Franklin has several cuts on the album, as does his brother Arlis. Arlis is accompanied on the banjo by his 10 year old son Joe Franklin. Other artist include Donnie and Becky Hardwick, Charles Creech, Ruben Ramey and Eddie Lee Rowe, a performer from  Indianapolis Ind.
